Furnish rooms with items that have real-world dimensions, so what fits on the plan fits in the house.

Before you start

  • A room drawn on the current floor.

The catalog

The built-in catalog has more than 500 original items in 18 categories: living, dining, bedroom, kids & nursery, office, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, lighting, decor & plants, storage, outdoor, fitness & games, pets, accessibility, garage & workshop, utilities and structure. Each category is split into sections: Office, for example, has desks, workstations and cubicles, seating, meeting & conference, storage & filing, tech & equipment, reception & lounge, pods & partitions, boards and a breakroom. Every item uses typical real-world sizes — for example a queen bed is 60″ × 80″ — and every model is original, so you can use renders and exports commercially.

Finding an item

  • Browse: the catalog opens on its categories, each with its item count. Open one, then use the section chips (such as Desks or Seating) to narrow it, or the menu at the top to jump to another category.
  • Search: type a word or two ("standing desk", "vanity 36", "grab bar"). Every word has to match the name, a keyword or the category, and plurals and everyday words work too ("fridge", "couch", "loo"). Results are grouped by category, with the category you were browsing first. Press Enter to pick the best match, or ↓ to move into the results and the arrow keys to move between them.
  • Recently used: the items you picked last are at the top of the catalog's home view on this device.
  • Favorites: star an item to keep it under Favorites on every device.
  • Grid or list: switch to the list to see more items at once, with each item's size and whether it mounts on a wall or ceiling.

Steps

  1. Press F to open the catalog, then browse or search for an item.
  2. Drag an item onto the plan. It drops at its real size.
  3. Adjust it:
    • Move — drag, or use arrow keys (Shift for 10× steps).
    • Rotate — use the rotation handle, type an angle, or press Shift+R for 90°.
    • Mirror — Shift+M.
    • Resize — type width, depth and height in the inspector.
    • Lock — Shift+L so it can't be moved by accident.
    • Copy — Mod+D makes a copy.
  4. Select several items with Shift-click to move or align them together.
  5. Change colour or material in the inspector.

Custom items

  • Custom box: when nothing in the catalog matches (a built-in bench, a radiator, an old chest), add a Custom box and type its exact width, depth and height and a name.
  • Your own 3D models: choose Import model in the catalog to add a GLB/glTF file (up to 200 MB) as a private workspace item. You confirm its real-world size against a 1.75 m figure before it's saved, then place it like any other item. See Import your own 3D models.
  • Your own sections and favourites: put your items in custom catalog sections, and star anything to keep it under Favorites on every device. See Favourites and your own catalog sections.

Groups

Select several items and press Mod+G to group them, so they move, rotate, copy and lock as one. See Group items.

Estimates

You can enter your own unit price for an item to build a budget. We never invent or fetch product prices; estimates show the currency and that prices are user-entered.

Common problems

  • The item went through a wall. The issues panel flags it. Move the item inside the room.
  • It won't move. It may be locked — press Shift+L or use the lock toggle in the inspector.
  • Proportions look odd after resizing. Resize with typed dimensions rather than dragging for precise results.
