Editing together, comments and conflicts
How simultaneous edits merge item by item, what happens when two people change the same thing, and how comments work.

On this page
Several people can work on the same design at once without overwriting each other.
Before you start
- Two or more people with edit access to the project.
How simultaneous edits merge
Every change you make is an operation on specific items — this wall, that sofa. The server checks each operation against the latest version:
- Different items (you move the sofa, your partner adds a window): both changes are kept automatically.
- The same item (you both drag the same wall): the first change saved wins, and the second person sees a notice that the item changed. Their view refreshes to the latest state so they can redo their edit on top of it. We never silently replace a whole design with one person's copy.
- Every saved state is validated, so a merge can't leave the plan with broken geometry.
Undo is personal
Mod+Z undoes your last change. If a teammate has since changed the same item, undo explains that instead of reverting their work.
Working offline
If your connection drops, edits are kept on your device. When you reconnect, safe changes are sent automatically; anything that conflicts is listed so you can review it, and you can save your local copy as a separate variant.
Comments
- Choose Comment and click a spot on the plan, an item, or a 3D view.
- Type your comment. Use @name to mention someone; they get a notification.
- Reply in threads, and Resolve when done (you can reopen later). Guests can comment for free.
Common problems
- "This item was changed by someone else." Your view has been refreshed; make your change again.
- I don't see my teammate's edits. Check the connection indicator in the top bar; reloading the page always fetches the latest version.
