You can always get back to where you were. History is unlimited and included in the subscription.

Before you start

  • Edit access to the project.

Autosave

Every change is saved within moments. The top bar shows the save state: Saving…, Saved, or Offline — changes kept on this device.

Save a named version

  1. Press Mod+S or choose Save a version.
  2. Give it a name, such as "Before moving the kitchen".
  3. Named versions appear in History and are easy to find later.

Save history in the editor

Click Saved in the top bar to open the save history: every save of the design on one timeline, grouped by day and by working session, with who made each change. Named versions are marked with a bookmark and branch points with a branch icon.

  1. Click any save. The plan — in 2D and 3D — shows the design exactly as it was, read-only. Nothing changes yet.
  2. Move through saves with ← and → (or the arrows on the bar at the bottom), and jump between named versions with Shift+← / Shift+→. The bar tells you what restoring would bring back.
  3. Choose what to do:
    • Restore this makes that save the latest version. It's added as a new save, so the version you left is still in the timeline — and the confirmation has an Undo button.
    • Branch starts a new design from that save. The original and its history stay as they are, and the timeline shows where each branch split off.
    • Name bookmarks the save so it's easy to find again.
  4. Press Esc or choose Back to latest to keep editing.

Save history is part of the subscription. Without one, clicking Saved shows what it offers, and named versions stay available.

Restore an earlier state

  1. Open History (project menu).
  2. Browse the timeline. Each entry shows what changed and who changed it.
  3. Choose an entry and Preview it.
  4. Choose Restore. Restoring adds a new step on top of history — nothing is erased, so you can even undo a restore.

Variants (named alternatives)

Use Make a copy on a design to create a variant — "Option A: open kitchen", "Option B: keep the wall". Variants live in the same project so you can compare them side by side.

Crash recovery

If your browser or device crashes, unsaved edits are kept on your device. Next time you open the project you'll be offered to recover them, or to save them as a separate variant if the design changed in the meantime.

Trash

Deleted projects and designs stay in Trash for 30 days while you're subscribed. Restore them from there at any time within that window.

Common problems

  • I restored the wrong version. Press Mod+Z or restore the newer entry from History.
  • Recovery was offered on another device. Recovery copies are stored per device and browser; open the project on the original device.
