Fair use explained: what “unlimited” means

No daily or monthly caps on projects, renders, AI or storage for subscribers. What per-file limits, fair scheduling and the Free plan's Build with AI limits mean in practice.

"Unlimited" is a real promise, not a hidden quota. Here's the plain-language version of our Acceptable use policy.

Before you start

  • Nothing — this applies to every subscription automatically. The Free plan section below covers Build with AI before you subscribe.

No caps for subscribers

There's no daily or monthly limit on workspaces, projects, floors, variants, uploads, storage, exports, renders, AI requests or version history. Heavy use is fine — it's what the plan is for.

What does exist

  • Per-file technical limits: images 25 MB, PDFs 50 MB, 3D models 200 MB per file.
  • AI runs one request at a time per workspace. If another request is running in your workspace, yours waits for the slot and starts automatically — it isn't refused.
  • Background work such as processing uploads and preparing workspace exports runs up to 3 jobs at a time per workspace; the rest wait in a queue.
  • Renders are made in your browser, so they never wait in a queue on our servers.
  • Burst limit: a short-term, per-person limit of 20 requests per 10 minutes across all AI features, which only scripts and automation reach.
  • Safety circuit breaker: a service-wide hourly ceiling on AI, set far above normal use, as a safety net against runaway costs and attacks. If it's ever reached, AI pauses briefly with a message and comes back automatically; everything else keeps working.
  • Abuse protection: rate limits on sign-in and public forms, and protection against automated misuse (for example, using the service as a general-purpose compute farm or scraping it with bots).

Build with AI on the Free plan

Build with AI is included in the Free plan to help you start:

  • up to 3 plans per person per day, and up to 10 per network (IP address) per day (days reset at 00:00 UTC; a generation counts when it starts, even if it fails);
  • within an overall daily budget for free use. If it runs out, Build with AI pauses for the Free plan with a message saying so, until the budget resets the next day.

Subscribers have no daily limit on Build with AI.

Steps: when an AI request has to wait

  1. Keep working — a waiting AI request starts by itself as soon as the earlier one in your workspace finishes.
  2. If you reach the burst limit, wait a few minutes and try again.
  3. If AI is paused service-wide, everything else keeps working; try again a little later.

If something is flagged

Automated abuse signals are reviewed by a person before any action affects a paying customer, and you can appeal by replying to our message or through contact. Ordinary heavy use by people designing homes is always entitled.
