A 360° panorama captures everything around one point, so clients can look in every direction as if they were standing in the room.

Before you start

  • A browser with 3D (WebGL). 8K panoramas need a desktop browser with plenty of memory.
  • Saving to the project's render gallery needs an active subscription and cloud storage; otherwise the PNG just downloads.

Steps

  1. In 3D, switch to Walk mode and stand where you want the viewer to be (or save a view there).
  2. Choose Render, then 360°.
  3. Pick a size: 4K (4096 × 2048) or 8K (8192 × 4096). 8K needs a desktop browser.
  4. Under Stand at, keep The current 3D camera position or pick a saved view. The middle of the panorama faces the way that camera looks.
  5. Choose Render 360°. The image downloads and is saved to the project's Renders tab as a "360° panorama".

Viewing a panorama

  • In the Render gallery or the project's Renders tab, open a panorama (or choose 360° on its card).
  • Drag or swipe to look around, scroll or pinch to zoom, or use the arrow keys and + / −.
  • On a phone or tablet, tap Use motion to look around by moving the device. iPhone and iPad ask for permission first.

The file is a standard equirectangular PNG, so it also works in most 360° photo viewers and social sites that accept 2:1 panoramas.

Common problems

  • The panorama is mostly sky and roof. It was taken from the orbit camera high above the plan. Use Walk mode or a saved view inside a room.
  • 8K failed. Phones and many tablets can't allocate an image that large; use 4K.
  • The panorama won't open in the gallery. Very large images may exceed a phone's graphics limits (it's scaled down automatically where possible). You can always download the original.
